Geolocation (GPS)
Presence recorded within authorized areas/sites.
Georeferenced QR Code
Static QR tied to latitude/longitude + radius: valid only at the correct place.
Bluetooth / Beacon
Validation by proximity to a beacon installed in the area.
NFC
Clock in by tapping your phone on an NFC tag/card.
Multi-mode
An employee enabled for several modes uses the one suited to the context (e.g. QR on site, GPS in the field).

Georeferenced QR Code: the code is valid only at the authorized place
Each QR is tied to a physical location (latitude, longitude, allowed radius). On scan, the app reads the smartphone position and the system checks the distance from the authorized point: clock-in is accepted only if the position matches. It curbs misuse of a photo of the QR and certifies presence at the correct place.
Compliant time tracking, not surveillance
VTR records a point-in-time clock-in (place and time of the event), not continuous tracking of movements: location is verified only at the moment of clock-in. An approach consistent with the Italian Workers’ Statute (art. 4) and the GDPR (EU Reg. 2016/679).
